I Believe.
- All scripture is the inerrant, inspired word of God. “As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless.” (Psalms 18:30) “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16).
- Everyone is a sinner and in need God’s salvation. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
- Jesus is God’s one and only Son and He is the only way to be saved. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
- We are saved by God’s grace alone. There is nothing we can do to earn it. “Who [God] has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.” (2 Timothy 1:9)
- Jesus’ death and His shed blood offers us forgiveness of sin. “The blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)
- If we confess our sins to God, He forgives us. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
- Belief in His resurrection gives us the promise of eternal life. “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” (1 John 5:11) “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:13)
- The indwelling of the Holy Spirit. “And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” (Romans 5:5) “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
- The equality and unity of all believers in Christ. “For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body.” (1 Corinthians 12:13) “For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)
